Plain-language summary of how KOIHAI handles your data.
What we collect
Your phone number or email address (to sign you in), a nickname, age, gender, languages and mood preferences you enter, plus basic usage events such as when a chat starts or ends.
What we never show others
Your phone number, email address and exact date of birth are never visible to other users. Matches see only your nickname and the details you chose to display.
Messages
Messages in a timed chat are stored only for the life of that chat plus a short safety window used for reports. Messages inside a saved connection are stored until you delete the connection or your account.
Why we process data
To match you, to enforce our age requirement and community guidelines, to prevent abuse and fraud, to process payments, and to improve the product using aggregate statistics.
Sharing
We use trusted processors for hosting, authentication, messaging delivery and payments. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile, export a copy of your data, and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, messages and connections.
